Most VGM packs with Japanese titles drop their macron characters in favour of classic double (long) vowels, like Touhou Gensoukyou. Occasionally however, a few packs are released with a Unicode macron in them, like Meikyū Jiin Dababa.

Unfortunately, this is how the "Press Start 2P" font displays them on the website:

Nevertheless it seems that the macron character should be supported by the font, as shown on DaFont:

The font has an diaeresis and a circumflex, but no macron, right?

Not sure about the font used on VGM Rips, but the offline version available on DaFont has macron support (I just tested it in LibreOffice).

I'll recycle this thread to signal character encoding bugs or missing diacritics in page titles.

Speaking of which, should this pack be renamed for consistency? I went with the "makyou" spelling back then.

currently we add vowels as a norm and using macrons as an exception, so renaming isn't necessary.

Ah, good. That's the spelling I prefer, too.

I prefer diacritics because Hepburn vowels are just lazy and not necessarily a norm in every country (we use macrons in France). But you make the calls.

That leaves the obvious encoding bugs like the one I mentioned previously. I've seen a couple of other cases which I'll report as well when I stumble upon them again.
