YM2612 VSTs!

Post by neologix »

SpritesMind user superjoebob has released a beta WIP of his YM2612 VST (allows switching btwn Gens AND MAME/GenPlusGX cores) - http://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/vie ... 8159#18159

Also releasing a YM2612 VST in January 2013, Aly James Sound posted videos of his previews (uses a custom core, apparently) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxAKR9f437w .

While I have not released one of my own, I still intend on making one using the GenPlusGX core. In the meantime, enjoy two completely unrelated ones with completely different looks! :)

Mmmmmmmmm very interesting. Given the second one mentions it adopted DT2 from the YM2151, I wonder if this means that intends to be an alternative for VOPM.

Sure, why not! I found it useful during our convos, and it's probably been improved since I last saw it :)

Normally I associate DT2 with MUL, but since he's doing it from scratch instead of starting directly from Gens or G+GX core I'm not entirely sure what his reasoning for using YM2151 terminology is other than his original like of VOPM.

Bump after forum restoration to announce that Aly James Sound has finally released the FMDRIVE! http://www.alyjameslab.com/alyjameslabfmdrive.html

10 Euros is the minimum "donation" for it. I gather he probably chose to use "donations" to avoid the PayPal fees from normal transactions.
