You suppose there'll be a VGM of the soundtrack someday? WITHOUT the distortion?

Yes, an SMD mega compo by demogroup Titan!

Oerg, we need a VGM rip directly from the source 8|

Admin note: Merged with Oerg's topic. (Kaminari - do you actually read the forum? ;))

Hi :)

Well, I have no idea what's the best way to rip VGMs anymore :)

I think Kega may be the best choice currently.
Regen doesn't log VGMs and MESS' cycle timing is off, resulting in a wrong PCM playback rate.
I'd say "wait for Exodus", but with its accurate emulation the DMA stuff will make the PCM sound worse than with other emulators.

I somehow missed Oerg's original topic. Strange, since I actually do read the forum on an almost daily basis.

...Would it be a bad idea to suggest going the Pier Solar route and try to create a Music Player ROM, and rip the track from there...? I'm hoping to hear the masterpiece without having to hear the MD sweat it out with the visuals, as evidenced with the slight PCM distortions at points! ;)
Until next post...
