Attached is an image displaying the difference between the original read & unread icons (basically, one is on top of the other with blend mode "Difference" applied). The closer a pixel is to black the less of a difference between the first and second pixels.

THERE IS ALMOST NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO ICONS. THIS IS WHAT I'M REQUESTING BE RESOLVED WITH THE REPLACEMENT ICON.

The issue isn't with the contrast of the icon to its background, it's with the contrast of the two icons to each other. REPLACE ONE WITH A BETTER CONTRASTING ONE.

Can be kept a ”Official Releases” alphabetical order?

Okay...

This is the problem I've been having. Bear with me here:

Picture One shows what's on my screen when I try to post a new reply. BBCode and Smilies are off.

Now I tried changing the circled setting in Picture Two, but still, no matter what setting, Yes, or No, it seems BBCode remains locked off.

Am I cursed? Or have I encountered a bug that's still alive? o.o

I changed a few permissions, so please try to edit your post and turn BBCodes on.
I assume the wrongly set permissions originate from the conversion from phpBB2 to 3.

Maybe the people who make phpBB should be told this? I don't know if it is the job of administration of this forum, to fix such things. For now many use userscripts to work-around? However, that doesn't seem like best way either. You really ought to be allowed to ignore administrators/moderators, if they aren't posting a administration message. A way to fix it would be, when administrators/moderators post a message there is one check-mark can be put on to indicate if it is administration message and therefore to override it, otherwise it is ignored like everyone else (since not all such messages are administration messages anyways).
