Universe BIOs.

The third game in SNK's longest-running series,
"The King of Fighters '96" saw the series get a
complete makeover, with restructured and
rebalanced gameplay and every single sprite
redrawn. It also ditched the "select a team"
mechanic in favor of the Edit Mode present in
the previous game, meaning you could select
which three characters you wanted from the
get-go without a prompt.

More relevantly, the music team was given even
more room to experiment (I assume), leading to
a mellow arrangement of Terry's "Fatal Fury 3"
music for his team and Mr. Big's suave theme
that has an intro almost as long as the rest of
the track! The sample quality's improved, too,
although the electric guitar samples are a bit
scratchy. Despite that flaw, these tracks are
good listening.

Some notes regarding this pack:

* Some tracks required the use of vgm2mid and
vgm2txt to find the proper loop point. These
include "Rumbling in the City," "Here Comes
Challenger," and "Requiem in D Minor K.626
  Dies Irae."
* Speaking of which, Wolfgang Krauser's theme
is taken directly from "Fatal Fury 2," and
just like in "Fatal Fury 2," it's a series
of streamed ADPCM samples (of a performance
of Mozart's "Dies Irae"). Thus, seeking to
another part of the track will not work as
it normally would (it will start from the
beginning of the sample that would be
playing at that point, and then get cut off
  by the next sample).

Enjoy!
