Despite "Savage Reign" not turning out well,
SNK took a crack at a sequel. Or at least
apparently decided to fit the cast into an
unrelated game, an impression one can get with
the two new characters drawn in a completely
different style and nobody redrawn to match.

From the same team as "Art of Fighting 3",
"Kizuna Encounter" (what is a "kizuna" and how
do you encounter one?) ditches the multi-plane
gameplay and instead features tag-team
gameplay similar to Capcom's "X-Men vs. Street
Fighter" (released the same month). It ditches
the colorful settings for darker ones (yet
with nobody in the colorful "Savage Reign"
cast changed), and this is reflected in the
soundtrack which goes for darker-sounding
music. It's still of great composition and
instrumentation, of course, but with a
different feel from the previous game, even
with some of the previous game's songs
included in the soundtrack (6, 8, 10, 14, 21).

General weirdness aside, this soundtrack makes
for recommended listening. Enjoy!

TRIVIA 1: The European AES version of this game
is among the rarest Neo-Geo games in the world,
with no more than _five_ copies known to exist!

TRIVIA 2: The arcade version of "Fuu'un Super
Tag Battle" (Japanese version) also saw an
alternate release, the "Special Version",
that supported two-on-two gameplay with four
human players. This too is among the rarest
Neo-Geo games ever made, as it was never
mass-produced. Its most notable appearance
was at the 7th Ura-Tougeki in 2012, which ran
a "Kizuna Encounter" tournament using this
version among many others. The title screens
of this version (including its never-released
localized counterpart, the "4 Way Battle
Version") are included in this pack as well.
