Game Gear Sega Game Gear (ja:ゲームギア) is a 8-bit hand-held video game system made by Sega. It is basically a souped-up version of the Sega Master System, which can also play their games with the Master Gear Converter. The MESS System Driver gamegear was supposed to take down the Game Boy's fame, with your high colors, high resolution, high quality games, high size, high sides that didn't fit into your jeans pocket, high price, and low life duration with their AA batteries.

Sound

The Game Gear PSG is basically a modified version of the SEGAVDP PSG, but with Stereo function. SMS games running on the GG didn't have this effect.

VGM Scene

You can log GG VGMs in MESS or Meka, by hacking their sound engines. Mostly of Sega and their 3rd-parties games (e.g.: SIMS) for the GG uses SMPS Z80 as their sound driver. But you can log GG VGMs in other older emulators, like Emukon, Dega, Gens+ and Kega Fusion.
