My forty-eighth submission is an MS-DOS demoscene game by The CoExistence, a 32kb shmup that won 4th place in the 32kb game compo at Mekka & Symposium 1997, and which is leagues above the actual winner (a thoroughly dated Microsoft parody). There's only one tune in this one (it's a 32kb game, after all), but it's a well-done effort, especially for what it took to get a two-minute loop under the file size restriction. A recommended listen!
(Apologies if the screenshot text is hard to read—the game uses a gradient effect on the text which looks cool in motion but makes it hard to capture a still shot where the credits are legible against the background. "The Jack" was the demoscene handle of the artist, Sebastian Jacobi, per the group info in The CoExistence's other prods.)
