JP's VGMs

Some originals, some covers

Original compositions, as well as ports and remixes of existing songs, can be posted in this forum, as long as they are in VGM format of course.

JP's VGMs

Post by jrlepage »

I thought I'd start one of these here!

NEW (18/12/2012): Here is a Battle of the Bits Turbografx-16 one-hour compo I won yesterday. It's my first TG-16 tune ever, but I'm really fond of it so I thought I'd share it here! No DMF for now because I used a prerelease build of Deflemask 9; I'll post it here once the final version is released to the public.
"The Adventures of Claude Vorilhon" (Turbografx-16/HuC6280)
VGM

NEW (18/12/2012): Here's another OHC! This one predates "Claude Vorilhon" by a day. I didn't win, but I came close second. I didn't follow the theme, so fair enough I suppose. Either way, when I think Gameboy music, I instantly think of Alberto José González's soundtracks, and so this is my best González impression. Again, no source file for now since it was made in the private Deflemask 9 alpha.
"González Tries OHCing" (Gameboy)

~Older stuff~

"Interlude" (Yamaha YMF262)
VGM | A2M

"Exception" (Sega Master System/SN76489)
VGM | DMF

"Master Tracker" (Sega Master System/SN76489)
VGM | DMF

This is very nice. An OPL3 song in one hour, damn. Liking the guitar nuances a lot. :)

Very nice PC Engine tune, with well rounded bass and good noise drums. It sounds especially good with the Ootake core :)
