Expanding more room for audio files

Post by 1983parrothead »

I am researching some ideas on how to carry as much great quality music in my Samsung Galaxy S4 as possible. But there are several difficulties:

* Too many fake Micro SD cards exist online, while smaller ones are prominent in local stores
* Cloud storage probably always cost mobile data money
* SeaGate Technology's $89 Wireless Plus portable 500GB hard drive has mixed reviews on Amazon
* DroidSound and its E version don't seem user-friendly enough.

I'm gonna need the best ideas on how to expand and/or upgrade storage. My next free smartphone upgrade is scheduled several months later. Any advice?

You could reencode all your music as 64kbps or 96kbps opus. Equivalent to MP3 at double the bitrate.

What about a travel router with USB and SD ports?

This just in that the Ravpower RP-WD03 travel router failed to be convenient enough for me to use. ES File Explorer and other similar apps couldn't access it.

Perhaps a new micro SD card or a WiFi hard drive will work better.
