Help recognize the music?

Post by Gnome »

I've been trying to recognize 2 NES music tracks. So far, I've had no luck. I tried asking my friend who plays a lot of NES games, but he doesn't know either.

Track 1:

Track 2:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/m4mdex7ewnys4 ... 2.wav?dl=0

He said that first track sounds something like Konami games would have. I haven't played most Konami games on NES, but I don't recognize it from the ones that I've played.
Perhaps someone here might know?
These days I mostly maintain old/faulty packs.

Both do sound like Konami games, but I don't recognize either of them. Neither of them sound like they are using expansion audio (e.g. FDS or VRC6), which might narrow your search a little.

Hello, didn't want to create a new topic.

I was wondering if someone could identify this wonderful track that is just amazing and all sorts of lovely.

Here's a link to MP3 I captured (OneDrive):

Here's where I heard it: (~ at 1h 10min 38sec)

That would be "Sacred Ground" from SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos (2003) (vgmrips pack link).
