Buttons in reply form?

Post by tails_ »

I'm talking about simple buttons which will allow tags like
(and maybe colors) inserted with single click. Why? Well it's kinda frustrating to enter brackets from phone keyboard even if it's QWERTY.

They actually come by default with this forum software, but I purposely removed them to prevent (or at least reduce) formatting abuse [o]or people would write like this all the times[/o]. However, now that I'm not an administrator anymore, the decision to add them back isn't up to me.

And yes, I created a lot of custom BBcodes other than the default ones, but I will never post a list of them :ihih:

Tom resigned from being an admin to make the people stop asking for changes. :silence:

Anyway, I have no PHP skills (and currently I need to learn other things), so all you can do is posting until Tom actually does something. :P

Honestly, I fail to see how useful are the buttons on a phone when it requires you to move away from the textbox for them to work. On some phones having to move back and forth that's a chore and it's easier to just write the tags directly.

Better question: why are there so many emoticons? o_O

Even better, they're all noticing only because I decide to mention it?
