My eighth submission to the site. This is the sequel to Star Gladiator, which attempted to make their 3D fighter play more like a 2D fighter, and did so in the clunkiest fashion possible. It failed catastrophically, due in part to some incredibly obvious corner-cutting and to looking dated compared to the previous year's Tekken 3, which was only emphasized when it came out on the Dreamcast a year after the Soul Calibur remake did. The metal soundtrack may not be as great as the previous game's more varied and cinematic soundtrack, but at least it's a good listen on its own!
