I really need to get ahold of some recordings of this game from actual hardware to verify some sound issues. For starters, I can tell this came from MAME since the YM3812 sounds very quiet in MAME. While it's been turned up in M1 to sound more balanced with the K053260. Second, I've noticed in Hoot the Title Screen has a whole different sample from the slap bass that plays in MAME/M1. Something tells me there's still issues with said chip that may need to be ironed out, but again I can't really tell without actual hardware recordings.
EDIT: Also, a few of these songs are on the actual Rollergames TV OST I believe, but even that I haven't been able to get ahold of to confirm. I do know the Ending tune is from the show, however. Good luck to anyone who can find it.

That's not really correct, actually. It doesn't matter if you record with MAME or M1, because the chip volume settings don't get saved to VGMs.RichterEX2 wrote:For starters, I can tell this came from MAME since the YM3812 sounds very quiet in MAME. They need to be adjusted by hand. (And right now with hex-editing, because vgm_ptch doesn't have any options related to it yet. If there's something that needs to be fixed, I'm willing to do this until I get vgm_ptch done.)
EDIT: Fixed when approving the pack.

The other issue I've been curious about. Is the difference between playing it in MAME/M1, and in Hoot. Because instead of hearing a slap bass like in MAME/M1, you get a "Whoosh". And it makes me wonder exactly which sample should be playing there in the actual hardware.
