It works! I will try more files tomorrow, but I can confirm that Mario Land now plays properly on my X3.
Thank you so much for this. :D

Thanks a lot for the update! Many tracks work great! But some seem to play very slowly such as Castlevania II.

please try this new version: https://github.com/untoxa/VGM_player/ac ... ackage.yml
it plays, not perfect, but i guess there is a problem in the VGM RIP itself, maybe some non-standard timings or something.

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to trying it, but honestly I know jack about coding and I have no idea how to compile this.
Could you please upload a ready to use ROM for the Everdrive series? Sorry and thanks.

download the compiled ROM files by the link i gave above. click "VGM Player Build and Package", then click on the "Linux-x64 build" - those are the compiled ROM files. you must be logged in onto the github.

LOL I just needed to log in. Anyway, this new version is certainly an improvement over the previous. The Castlevania II tracks still don't play correctly, but certainly better than before. As you said, it could be something in the VGM files themselves. But as a control, I did run the VGM through DMVGM to convert the track to a standard GB rom, and the music plays perfectly using that method on all GB hardware I have.

Your player may not be perfect yet, but it's very convenient and fun to use. Thanks again for your all your work. I do have one feature request though, is it possible to have each track loop forever until the button is pressed to stop playback? No problem if it can't be done, but would be nice as I like to use VGM files to record long loops of my favorites.

Edit, I just tried one of my childhood favorites, "Jurassic Park" and it also runs slowly. (Rips taken directly from this site and then uncompressed.)
