Hey, I'm trying to get the MIDI from the Transport Tycoon VGMs listed on this site, but am unable to produce anything worthwhile.
I'm not super knowledgeable on all this stuff. What I have tried is to convert/decompress the VGZ file in to VGM and then extract the MIDI using VGM2mid, but when I open the resulting MIDI file in MidiYodi the parts are split chaotically all over each channel.
I've extracted a few MIDIs here and there, and never seen anything like this.
Any help, please?

Re: MIDI from PC VGM?
I'm afraid that this is just how MIDI-based sound drivers translate polyphonic MIDI channels into monophonic OPL hardware channels. They often just cycle through all channels.
I don't think you can really do much there.
I would just use the MIDIs included with the Windows versions instead if you want to do remixing.
