Ripping a VGM's samples

Post by Nazaypato_ »

My problem is that I want to rip The Simpsons Arcade Game's K053260 samples as instruments as audio (Rip the game's samples to audio, but not music), but I can't find a perfect program for it. I tried Audacity but it turns out that slowing down the chipmunk audio decreases its quality. :?

If "audio decreases its quality" means, that the sound gets a bit more muffled than you expect, then open Audacity's "Quality Preferences" dialog and set the resampling methods to "Low Quality".
This should be close to "nearest-neighbour" resampling, which is what the K053260 sound chip does.
