This game has 3 sound modes (which actually should not be, since the only thing it does is to lower the volume to the SSG channels), the VGM pack is taken from the S98 that is on the internet, and this one uses "Mode 3".

This seems to be missing a track, "Jaffar's Conspiracy" (as named on ARSYS BEST SELECTION). Looks like it's missing from the S98 set floating around too. It plays during the opening sequence that depicts Jaffar giving the princess his ultimatum, and after a glance at HOOT playlist data, the filename is probably ROOM2.MUS - I can't actually confirm that right now, but based on Youtube videos, it's definitely in the game.

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.

A VERY LATE response, but here it is:

The song IS in the game and IS USED in-game, I try ripping it in Neko Project 21/W, even with the lowest settings, it still doesn't play the last part of the song, it just goes straight to a demo before that, and for the worst thing I tried to do it in Hoot (65535Hz patched) but for some strange reason just that part is cut suddenly, I know that someone will tell me: you should have hit the “P” (key that normally stops the songs), but it is not the case, I searched the utility to redo the .zip with the music files, I redid it and there is no difference in this specific song.

It is surprising that the person who did the S98 rip completely missed that song!

EDIT: I already discovered the reason why that song is there but without the final part, since it is seen that later it makes a fade-out to a demo, most probably they did it that way for the final version (in the album it have songs that not appears in the game) and that's why that part ends abruptly, since I even tried MAME with the lowest processor configuration (the game was almost a PowerPoint presentation of how slow it was even with the Throttle activated) and maybe that's why the S98 ripping doesn't have that song since the final part is practically nonexistent, which is very sad. And also when trying to view the contents of the disk, they cannot be read in DiskExplorer as they are in a unique format, for copy protection purposes, something very normal with a lot of games.
Trying to get back on track with VGM Ripping.
