Re: Shadow Warriors / Ninja Gaiden / Ninja Ryukenden
The SSG channels are almost inaudibly quiet since the least rerip. Any way to balance them out so they can be heard again?
Re: Shadow Warriors / Ninja Gaiden / Ninja Ryukenden
My pack that I have in Dropbox (more as a backup than anything else), you get to hear the SSG channels, but that here someone or something ended up changing the volume of those channels.RichterEX2 wrote: ↑2025-03-31, 8:09:15 The SSG channels are almost inaudibly quiet since the least rerip. Trying to get back on track with VGM Ripping.

Oh, sorry. It looks like I accidentally broke the chip volume information during the last packaging.
I will do an update with the fixed file header (restored from a backup of the pack's submission) with the next update.

Hello the ssg volume is still too quietly low in the last update of the pack
Re: Shadow Warriors / Ninja Gaiden / Ninja Ryukenden
I literally used the Chip Volume Header from Raiga Strato Fighter (because of using the SAME chips configuration as this game), plus there are 2 proofs that I have to prove that I am being as accurate to the real hardware (as it should always be), plus for your information, this pack was already broken before (the initial pack have ALL the files with a silence of one second proof that it was ripped with M1, and someone “fixed” it by turning up the overall volume, and NOT putting the header).yoshi200213 wrote: ↑2025-04-05, 15:32:00 Hello the ssg volume is still too quietly low in the last update of the pack
I took the time (at that time) to make it from scratch in the latest version of MAME (version 0.244) and with the sound trigger it haves in the wiki.
And here are the proofs:
The song I use is the track 14: Chasing Him Until the Very End (Transcontinental Railroad Stage BGM) [my personal favorite]
1CC in REAL HARDWARE by Janet, with the timestamp
The song in the album Ninja Gaiden The Definitive Soundtrack Vol. 1
A side note, normally a modern album of a soundtrack of an old game, usually is recorded from the arcade board, in the old ones like Ninja Ryukenden -G.S.M. TECMO 1-, if they are the same, but they put echo effects and other things that do not make it a clean recording, if I'm wrong in this information, someone else let me know.
And as a side note, it seems that you want to look for the fifth leg of the cat to make excuses with same-to-nothing arguments (using very inaccurate emulation instead of Real Hardware footage), if you have so many problems and you complain a lot, then do the work yourself.
Take it or leave it, I'll leave it there.
Trying to get back on track with VGM Ripping.
