Super Space Fortress Macross / Chou-Jikuu Yousai Macross
Manabu Namiki probably only worked on the sequel. See http://web.archive.org/web/201202200552 ... amiki.html

Hmm, that's interesting- his own chronology doesn't go before 1993. Namiki is credited within the same itself though, as 三TARO:ctr wrote:Manabu Namiki probably only worked on the sequel. See http://web.archive.org/web/201202200552 ... amiki.html

(He's credited the same way in II):

This page on the Best 100 Game Music atwiki cites an interview with Namiki on this particular game in ゲームサイド2009年12月号, so perhaps he says something about his involvement in the game?

Indeed, I got to see in the site where I got the tags, and there was the name of the song, and the original composer, all this information is in the notes of each of the VGMs.RichterEX2 wrote:Some of these tunes are based off the actual Macross anime soundtrack.

Oh yeah to clarify about Namiki's involvement:
This is why he did not include it on his worklists. Similarly, Namiki told me he composed none of the music for Blandia, only some tracks early in development that were rejected and not even in the leaked prototype.
(source)For Super Space Fortress Macross, I only wrote the music for the location test version. The job came only a month, or maybe not quite a month, after I had joined the company. Since the only goal was to be finished in time for the location test, the music wasn't included in the final product. The music in the final product was composed by an outside company.
