As some users probably know, Kinuyo Ueda is (IIRC) the maiden name of the great Kinuyo Yamashita.
Yes, the very same one who composed the legendary Castlevania soundtrack, among many others.
If memory serves, Yamashita became a freelancer after leaving Konami and has been ever since that time (though she seems to be semi- or completely retired given her inactivity over the past few years).
Yamashita considered working for Taito in the early 1990s, but decided against it as that would have necessitated moving to Tokyo.
It might have been a missed opportunity in retrospect (I believe she would have been a great addition to ZUNTATA, and could have done great music with the YM2610 and ES5506), but I'm glad she got to stay free and keep her options open.
