I managed to compile MAME with the latest changes, and I also compiled VGMPlay from the AUR (before anyone points it out, it’s not official). I tested almost all the YMF271 packs—or rather, the soundtracks that made me most eager to try out the new sound chip core (the Raiden Fighters games, Desert War, P-47 Aces and Viper Phase 1)—and in almost all of them, I didn’t notice any issues serious enough to justify a re-ripping the VGM pack of each game.danylopez123 wrote: ↑2026-08-27, 22:34:29 Just to give a heads up: For the future MAME 0.290, they rewrote the YMF271 sound chip and sounds way better.
This pack should be relogged when it's possible.
