Just to give a heads up: For the future MAME 0.290, they rewrote the YMF271 sound chip and sounds way better.
This pack should be relogged when it's possible.

I managed to compile MAME with the latest changes, and I also compiled VGMPlay from the AUR (before anyone points it out, it’s not official). I tested almost all the YMF271 packs—or rather, the soundtracks that made me most eager to try out the new sound chip core (the Raiden Fighters games, Desert War, P-47 Aces and Viper Phase 1)—and in almost all of them, I didn’t notice any issues serious enough to justify a re-ripping the VGM pack of each game.

I’m not sure what audio formats are allowed on the site, so I uploaded them to Dropbox. They’re .wav files; the “Old OPX Core” uses the latest publicly available version of VGMPlay, and the “New” one was created using the version compiled from the AUR script (which is designed to incorporate the latest changes).

Trying to get back on track with VGM Ripping.
