So, yes.

That's the case with all Namco NA-1 / NA-2 System games. I added a note about it in the OP.

According to their change logs, they improved Pokey emulation, but that's all I know.

I read their change logs quite often and update the cores in VGMPlay when they get updates in MAME/MESS.

btw: The next planned MAME/MESS VGM mod version is 0.148. I plan to resync my mods every fourth release.

Not start Famicom Disk System when enabled vgmwrite,
It started when disabled vgmwrite.
I use MESS 0.144 32-bit.

That works fine in MESS 0.140.

It seems to work for me, but only with cartridges.
It always crashes if no cartridge is loaded (even with a disk image loaded), no matter if vgmwrite is 1 or 0, so I assume it's a bug of MESS itself.
The crash happens after MESS goes fullscreen.

For me, it don't crash (I logged Wardner no Mori without any problem). BTW, you are using the Famicom + FDS or Famicom + FDS + Family Keyboard?

I use Famicom + FDS,
Famicom + FDS + Family Keyboard is not in the list.

This phenomenon does not occur in ROM cartridge (.nes),
seems to occur only in the Disk System (.fds).

Resemble crash to occur when a file does not exist,
is like to request a file of something only when it is set to vgmwrite 1.
Famicom.zip exists, works and is set to vgmwrite 0.

I tried the old version,
that works fine in MESS 0.144 (Nov 16 2011).

It's the request.
Refresh rate is wrong, there is a game that is not played correctly.
Slider controls > Screen refresh rate,
Can you fine-tune this value? I want to adjust in 0.01 increments.

Believe it or not, it took me until now to figure out that you actually have to enable cheats to make the Screen Refresh Rate option appear.

Anyway, you can use Ctrl/Shift/Alt to adjust the increment/decrement rate.
Ctrl: steps of 10 frames
Shift: steps of 0.1 frames
Alt: steps of 0.001 frames

After a few days of hard work, I was now able to upload an updated MAME/MESS VGM mod based on v0.148.
You can't expect anything new related to VGM logging, though.

The old 0.144 mod is still there, so in case something broke between 0.144 and 0.148 you can fall back to the older build.

Enjoy ripping!

Thank you for the update, I was available for download.

There is no Overclock CPU and Screen refresh rate of Slider controls.
Did you disabled?

I have been using MAME v0.148 32bit.
