I can't get these to play with in_vgm. Any idea why?

BTW, the composer is Tohru Nakabayashi.

Yes, for me too. I can only open Winamp (the latest version) with a m3u file, not clicking in a file or in the .exe.

Also, Alien Storm, another game made by Team Shinobi, is composed by Tohru Nakabayshi, dissident93?

Weird ... it works for me in Winamp 5.61 and 5.03a.

I tried dropping the vgm- and the m3u-file on winamp.exe, as well as dropping one on Winamp's GUI.

Maybe the update I will release in a few days fixes it. (Although I don't know why it should.)

Hmmm, strange..

And to answer your question, Keisuke Tsukahara did Alien Storm.

I've found out why these wouldn't play before. When they were tagged as "Unknown", I used VGMToolbox to rename them. But these are 1.6 VGM, I assume? So what I think is that VGMToolbox can only tag 1.5 correctly (as I've used it flawlessly for Project2612).

VGMtool does it perfectly, it just doesn't have a batch renaming part.

Actually there's no difference between v1.50 and v1.60 that could cause VGMToolbox to behave wrongly. The GD3 tag is still at version 1.00.

Can you please upload such a broken file? Thanks.

btw: The original vgms had v1.61 because of the uPD7759, but after stripping it I set the version to v1.50 to increase compatibility.

Oh so there isn't? Hmm..

And here's the link to Spash Wave (randomly picked) tagged with VGMtoolbox.

Ah, okay. I see the problem.

VGMToolBox seems to resize the vgm header to the v1.50 size, although it isn't supposed to do that.
And for some reason it zeroed the YM2151 clock, too.

I checked it and it writes to parts of the header that it really shouldn't. ("recorded rate" field and the very important data offset)
I'll try contacting the author.
