Possibly. It doesn't exactly work in Gens/GS VGM mod; by that I mean the game LOADS past the Sega screen, and I hear the menu music, but I don't see the menu graphics.
I'm just your average joe who basically contributes random crap to the site. I mainly rip soundtracks by Western composers because they don't get as much love.

What happened with the screenshot here? 288x224 is not a PC/MS-DOS resolution AFAIK.

That's the EXACT aspect ratio used by the title screen in-game; it was NOT modified.

As it turns out, the VGA controller can be programmed in a way that allows for odd resolutions and there is bunch of games that use those:

No, it's fine. The game apparently setup up the screen to be exactly 288x224 pixels.
