Maniac Theme (Opening, Staff Roll): The original theme is by Chris Grigg and David Lawrence, not David Govett (who only did some songs for the NES version).
BGMs are different too. While David Warhol composed the musics in the US version, Tsukasa Tawada composed the JP version of this game.
Please see this page for a convenient summary of who did what in the other versions of the game.

The Star-Spangled Banner (Unknown BGM): Regarding the artist fields:

Code: Select all

John Stafford Smith (arr. Tsukasa Tawada)
ジョン・スタッフォード・スミス[編曲:多和 田吏]
I'm not sure if this format is accepted, and if it is it's inconsistent with the afore-mentioned Maniac Theme.

Regarding that composer thing, I've also did that style of format whenever a composer has arranging things that some music exists.

I know, but the .nsf file includes David Govett in it. So like I said, this and the US version is different.

The Famicom version of the game is consists of 2 composers I believe including David Govett and Tsukasa Tawada.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

And oops, wrong send.

You can compare the credits from every version of the game, compiled here: https://vgmdb.net/product/13114

Chris Grigg and David Lawrence are credited in every version that uses Maniac Theme (including the JP Famicom version), and in the US NES version they are credited specifically for that song, while David Govett is only credited in the US NES version for other songs in that soundtrack.

It's in the game's credits (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nKrn3lzg-M&t=4135s). I don't think there's a better source than that.

Did you also check the external links tab on the .txt file in this pack besides that?
