Original Notes from Sonic of 8! from separate packs: -- original Salamander / L.F. (U) comments -- Track names are used in Salamander -Again- OST, by Konami Kukeiha Club. Thunderbolt, Slash Fighter and Combat are unused tracks on Salamander, but used in japanese version of Life Force (and one music in Salamander for MSX). There are a lot of unused musics and jingles here. Without M1 VGM, I never discovered these hidden tracks! 1.00 2011-03-06 Sonic of 8!: Initial release. 2.00 2011-04-05 Sonic of 8!: A lot of Unused Tracks. -Salamander Old Rip -- original Life Force (J) comments -- Life Force (JP) is a just a graphical hack of Salamander. Since the name is "Lifeforce", I prefer "Life Force", because in Japan, there is a 1985's movie called Lifeforce (but nothing related to the game). Don't confuse this pack with the US version of Life Force! If you want Life Force (US), you need to download Salamander VGM Pack. The VGM Pack includes only the original sounds, and exclusively Unused four musics, that don't appear in Salamander. Planet Ratis and Unused Remixes was don't present here. And at all, is most work for me, and I became in fatigue. 1.00 2011-06-29 Sonic of 8!: Initial release. -Life Force (J) Old Rip This pack was a DISASTER, with capital letters, I had a thousand and one problems, from songs that vgmlpfnd gave me a correct loop (the *famous?* "!"), and sounded bad, VERY BAD, desynchronized songs after a loop *but sounds good with this loop*, and then came the unused songs in both, some are variations, others appeared in both games, and see what order followed, etc., etc., etc... At the end for the unused songs I apply the rule of apply from the first game, and later the second game (Salamander -> Life Force (J)). I almost forgot to mention, before you tell me "Dario, these packs already had a 2.00 version, why did you put 1.00 again?", it's simple, to combine the two version in one single vgm pack. And I was thinking about doing them separately, but I didn't feel it was worth it (in fact when it came to put the Sound IDs in the notes of each .vgm, I was already lost). I also added other playlists covering each of the versions of the games, Salamander, Life Force JP (although the tag names are super messed up). -Dario011 Tracks names are sourced from "MUSIC from KONAMI ARCADE SHOOTING" (GFCA-501~10) and Salamander Music Gallery This pack is re-ripped using MAME 0.256 VGM Mod. Size reduction: 1. vgm_cmp: 8.59 MB -> 5.81 MB (67.7 %) Total: 8.59 MB -> 5.81 MB (67.7 %)
