VGM2Mid Question/need help

I am hoping for a little insight on the VGM2Mid program.


I downloaded some packages from the forum with the YM2151 chip (Punk Shot, Turtles in Time ect) When i export them from VGM2Mid they seem to be missing channels. Going through the settings, i see green boxes for channels 0->7. When i import the midi into my DAW, anything over 7 channels will be recognizable and labeled but will have no notes data. For example a large track missing the drums and a piano channel. Everything 0-7 is playing correctly.

Am i missing something to get more than 7 channels in a single export? Or is there a way i can split the VGM into mutiple exports to access all the data from the original? For example. If a original VGM file has 10 track lanes, how to get the additional 3 channel lanes to process.

If it's missing drums, then these are probably the parts played by the Konami PCM chip.
vgm2mid supports most of the PSG and FM chips, but no PCM chips. (... except SegaPCM, but that one is really hit-or-miss as well.)

I'm afraid you are out of luck here. It will only convert the 8 channels of the YM2151 and ignore the K053260.

Thank you for the response Valleybell, and also your work putting up such a great collection. I came across a similar question/response on the forum from some years ago while looking for my answer, and figured it could still be the case. Either way, i appreciate you letting me know.
