Edit = never mind, found the decrypted "v" files from a certain rom and the decoder works now. Though i would at some point like to find out how people do that... Hmm....
Hi there! I've been running into issues trying to extract the sound files (the "v" ones) from the last neogeo games (KOF 2003 and Samurai Shodown 5)
I'm using the handy ym2610 adpcm decoder but it doesn't work (the files end up all a garbled mess) and from what I've checked, it's due to the last neogeo sound driver (1.9) which is encrypted somehow
Anyone here knows how to decrypt those files so i can decode them?
I usually do that to check for unused sounds that don't appear in the sound code
