Hi all,
just stumbled across the Commodore TED Chip (MOS 7360/8360) which seems to be the most simple "PSG", even simpler than the dead simple SN76849. Two square waves and little bit of noise ... Nevertheless a lot of really good music was composed for it - and the best part: it is already collected by TED fans, so converting could be a batch job:
"High Voltage TED Collection" - ready to get played by emulators

... but unfortunately it isn't part of the VGM specification.
Raw register ripping for VGM could be possible with tools like "tedsid2dump" (https://solhsa.com/soloud/tedsid.html) or by enhancing multiplatform tools like cRTED (https://plus4world.powweb.com/tools/cRTED).
Would be really nice, if the TED could be part of the VGM family!
