As you might've noticed, there are a few spambots (or spam users) popping up recently.
You don't need to worry too much about them though. I always have a quick look at the profile of every new user. (and at new posts, too)
And please do not report spam posts or reply to them unless they are there for at least one day.
I check vgmrips multiple times every day, but I don't check it every hour.
Thanks.

Re: A small note about spambots
Time to bump a really, really old topic.
Considering that there is a fair amount of spambots recently, Kaminari agreed to take care of cleaning them up a bit.
So let's welcome Kaminari to our Moderator Team.
New people means new ways of approaching things, so there are a few things that will change here.
My own approach so far was pretty lenient: Even probable bot users could stay as long as they don't post links or obvious advertisements.
Advertisement and especially suspcious links would result in an instant user deletion.
Kaminari will probably counter the bot users more aggressively, so there will be less bots.
Note: If it should happen that your user gets removed incorrectly, just recreate it and send a Private Message to Kaminari or me (ValleyBell), so that we are notified that you are a real person.

Re: A small note about spambots
I personally vote against all @gmail account registrations, because this is getting out of hand.
Re: A small note about spambots
The forum could benefit from an anti-spam extension like Stop Forum Spam.
99% of new member registrations are Gmail spambots already flagged on https://www.stopforumspam.com/
