The game that embarrassed Roy E. Disney so much, he instructed Sega to pull it from sale and destroy all copies. Why can you still get a boxed copy with manual for around $30? This soundtrack might provide a clue...

Hello, there.

I believe the music is supposed to loop. I assume you ripped the music from the sound test, in which the music does not loop.

a few things I just noticed:
  • The image(s) must be screenshots from the game's title screen, not box art.
  • The VGM tags should not contain the track numbers as part of the title.
  • You can generate the song list with proper indentation by dropping the .m3u playlist on vgm_stat from the [pack] VGM Tool Collection.
  • "07 Unused" - can you please strip the leading silence off?
I'm not sure about whether or not we should loop the songs the way they "loop" ingame.
The "Aladdin" pack loops many of its songs, so replicating that sort of loop may be a good idea?

It doesn't loop in the game either.. the track simply comes to an end and then starts again after about a 1 second pause.

I've honestly never seen/heard anything like it before in a Mega Drive game, but I know that this game was horribly rushed through development (and Disney stepped in to have Sega pull it from store shelves).

I think it better to preserve the music as it is in the game though, right?

Ok - I will fix the main points above and upload a new release.

Regarding the looping, believe it or not... they actually don't loop in the game either, they simply repeat after a brief pause! These tracks are not designed to loop at all... in some of the songs, they even mimic a slow down in tempo before they finish. The best I could do (if you insist) is make them repeat in a similar way to the game, but I'm not sure it will sound right.

Aladdin uses GEMS, so it's likely the songs do loop in that way in the sound data itself, but I haven't checked it. This uses some bespoke Infogrames sound driver instead?

That being said, yes, please fix the other stuff noted above. Does the unused song begin with that much silence in the sound test?

Question: Have the issues been fixed yet, and if not, should I?
I'm trying to add information found on the forums easier to find on the wiki. If I forget to credit you, please let me know (or edit the article if you don't want to wait).

Fixed up the pack. I didn't attempt to loop the songs, but I did identify the unused track thanks to The Cutting Room Floor.
