Yes, but no. as ctr said in the notes. Japanese and European release are different song style/sequence due to only one soundchip, since it uses only nes apu, but its the same song. .

Any reason for using track names from a fanmade remix album rather than just the real track names?

The fanmade tracks has an accurate desciption or titles that i can come up with rather than the original track names.

but I keep up the original track names in the japanese tag

I'm not sure I agree with this? Including fanmade track names in a VGM pack representing the original soundtrack might misdirect people to think that those fanmade titles are the official names. The original names in the Japanese tags are only going to be seen by people who download the VGM pack.

This album release has both the official titles and descriptions of where it's used- I would suggest using these as an alternative.

It's just basically the same, but if your uncomfortable looking at the fanmade tracks, maybe you could change that.
