This first-party Neo Geo game was SNK's first beat-em-up on the platform, and wow, is it rough. An awesome premise mixing post-apocalyptic themes with Japanese mythology, brought to life with beautiful graphics and audio for 1991, cannot disguise its extreme difficulty even by the standards of the era. Still, its intense mix of synth instruments and traditional Japanese music, with the latter taking the spotlight whenever you jump into the yokai world, creates a soundtrack that is not to be missed.
