All ymf278b arcade albums are broken in the last version of of vgm play 1.70

All arcade albums that use Yamaha ymf278b are broken in vgmplay since version 1.70 they don't sounds like mame or real hardware
In version 1.60 and olders they sound fine
Some instruments like the xylophone in stage 5 music in bang bang ball not sounds like mame in vgmplay 1.70
Please fix this issue

Sorry, but MAME as a reference doesn't work. Please post an example of a real hardware recording to prove that VGMPlay is wrong.

VGMPlay has been verified against the Moonsound OPL4 board for MSX and it sounds very close to recordings from an actual MSX I heard.
(Just keep in mind that MSX packs need the "yrw801.rom" in the folder of VGMPlay.exe to work properly.)

Also: What is VGMPlay 1.70? We are at version 0.51.1.

In the last version of vgmplay all ymf278b arcade albums sounds wrong compare to old versions of vgmplay and khinsider albums

Bang Bang Ball doesn't seem to be listed on https://vgmdb.net/, so I'm pretty sure that this khinsider album is just a MAME recording and not something recorded from real hardware.
Recorded emulation is not a valid reference.

If you really want old/broken emulation, you can always go back to VGMPlay 0.40.3 or so.

You're effectively asking for this (broken/outdated emulation) when we already have this. (improved and mostly accurate emulation)
And you are obviously unable to prove that VGMPlay is incorrect, because all of your references are outdated emulators.

hello all ymf278b arcade albums like bang bang ball suffers from a regression in the instruments since vgmplay 0.50.0 and upwards
in vgmplay 0.40.9 and downwards all the tracks sounds correctly before.
i play a track from bang bang ball in vgmplay 0.40.9 and vgmplay 0.50.0 for comparison and I conclude that there was a regression in the tracks
