Some tracks seem empty. Does this pack requires the unreleased 0.52 VGM player?

The "Game Over" theme is also originally from Castlevania II NES.

(Also, if you happen to touch the pack again, please change the system name to "Arcade Machine". The pattern where the system is named after specific games is really terrible and I'd like to get away from that.)

Also, the reason why the system name is called Haunted Castle, is because iirc, city bomber and haunted castle shares the same pcb hardware or arcade system, just like mystic warriors hardware was.

This Pack is pretty great but I noticed the drums and percussion are missing along withthe toms and hi hats. someone mentioned you might need VGM Player 0.5.2 is that true to get the missing sounds as I have foobar2000 with GEP installed already. I'm on Windows 11 btw.

just use the latest vgmplayer 0.52 in order to work the percussion sounds. As for GEP in foobar2000, which i used all the time is outdated. and there's no K007 support on that plugin. Unless if i have the time to reverse engineer that plugin.

GEP is extremely old. The recommended foobar2000 plugin is the Japanese foo_input_vgm, but this one doesn't support the 0.52 specs yet. It might take months before an update is available.

Oh wow I didn't know that foobar2000 was out dated! I download the vgm play 0.52 version so how would I be able to deconstruct the song on it? Would i copy and paste the vgm file for the song cross your heart into vgm player as when I did that it just plays the regular master track of the vgm file cross your heart. I didnt see any options to isolate or export the individual audio channels.

nope, there's no isolate option in vgmplay. you should just play this pack as normal. unless there's an updated vgm plugin in winamp, from there you can isolate those channels in the preferences menu and then select vgmplay menu inside the preferences menu from output i think.

In VGMPlay, you can isolate channels by editing the "VGMPlay.ini" configuration file. Each chip has its own section there and you can mute specific channels using

MuteCh0 = True
MuteCh1 = True
etc.

Use the "LogSound" option to write WAV files.
