Dennou Club Collection

This pack was made with XM6 2.05 VGM mod.

Personal thoughts:
What started this whole thing was when I
was looking through the X68000's homebrew
library and discovered Active Shoot.
The music was quite enjoyable and
I was surprised by the appearance
of Mizuno's music in it, so I
asked him about it and he told me how he
submitted music to this disk magazine called
Dennou Club. There were some iterations of the
club and they were maintained
by Mankai Seisakujo, the same company that
would publish Ano, Subarashii o Mou Ichido
(going full circle here,lol).
In fact, there was a trial version of the
novel in one of the CDs. The STG00X series
from Mark44 was used in Raydefox, and he
even produced exclusive music for its sequel.
Matsumoto made some music for a RPG title, but
I wasn't able to find more out on it. The disk
magazines housed a lot of resources to get
novices up and going when it came to game
devlopment, but it was also a showcase of
music and artwork. I will not be surprised if
a majority of the homebrew/doujin projects from
the X68000 used material from this
since Dennou Club lasted from 1988 to 2000,
so it houses a lot of history and culture
for the computer.

I decided to focus on these individuals and
era since this was when Mizuno was active
and projects like Ano, Otoko Dama,
and Active Shoot were being developed. If
there is any music I am missing from these
four or want to hear other contributors from
Dennou Club, let me know.

The screenshot is a watercolor painting
titled 孫悟空 from Sawa. This appeared on
the last known volume of Gekkan Dennou
Club, Vol. 148, on August 17th 2000.

Note: You can combine this with the Active
Shoot, Otoko Dama, and
Ano, Subarashii o Mou Ichido vgm packs for a
complete listening experience. Some songs
required a MIDI module and internal soundset
to play the music correctly, so I omitted them
from this pack.

opt_oki was not used on tracks that required
PCM8 due to constant streams to the OKI chip.

Size reduction:
1. opt_oki: 190 MB -> 126 MB (66.3 %)
2. vgm_cmp: 126 MB -> 118 MB (93.9 %)
Total: 190 MB -> 118 MB (62.3 %)
