A Neo-Geo game known solely by its main
character appearing as a bonus character in a
"King of Fighters" game, "Savage Reign"
(whose?) pits a wacky cadre of characters, from
a martial artist with a boomerang to a
cheerleader with a rubber ball, in a twist on
the "Fatal Fury" formula where you could jump
onto and attack people from higher ground. It
is a very clunky game with not much going for
it, apart from, naturally, the soundtrack,
which is as eclectic as the game is. From epic
drama to mystical piano to carnival fun, the
music spans a wide range of genres, all with
great composition and instrumentation. It comes
together into a good listen outside of the game
itself. Enjoy!
